How to get rid of stress in three minutes

1. Write down everything that has boiled over
“If you are sucked into the abyss of urgent matters and you don’t know where to start to deal with them, take a pen or marker and write down everything that needs to be done on a piece of paper, in any order,” advises clinical psychologist and hypnotherapist Olga Golosova. Without regret, cross out what you have already done - you will be pleased to do it, you will see.

2. Shake off problems
- Speak aloud everything that worries you, frankly and in simple words. Pause for a minute, be silent and realize what was said - and then shake it all out of your head. That is, literally - shake your hands, head, whole body, jump, perform a ritual dance. Give yourself free rein while no one is looking at you.

3. Wash your hands
“Warming up helps me a lot,” says therapist and nutritionist Yulia Kanyuba. “Instead of poring over lists, I put on my leggings and go for a run. Or I lay out a yoga mat and arrange a 20-minute practice with pleasant music. I'll give you another super trick: use hand cream. I am not kidding. When I feel like I'm panicking, I take a deep breath and go wash my hands. I do this for a long time, thoughtfully, and just as slowly, I put cream on them. A “hygienic” pause restores the heartbeat and the ability to think clearly - even such trifles can return us to an adequate state.

Stress and panic: what happens to the skin when you are very worried
“In a stressful situation, the body releases hormones into the blood - cortisol and adrenaline, they activate the production of neurotransmitters and neuropeptides, causing the nervous system to become excited. These processes negatively affect the work of immune cells of the skin, disrupting their protective functions. The result is slower update processes; the appearance of rosacea, acne; exacerbation of eczema and psoriasis, as well as neurodermatitis, ”says the expert.

HOW STRESS AFFECTS SKIN?
When the body is in a state of prolonged stress, the skin begins to actively react:

- the ability of the skin to regenerate is impaired;

- the amount of collagen produced decreases;

- wrinkles begin to appear actively;

- adrenaline causes vasospasm, cells cease to receive oxygen in full, and the skin loses its natural color, becomes dull and gray;

- cortisol leads to a sharp expansion of blood vessels and the manifestation of rosacea;

- stress makes the skin susceptible to negative external influences, violating its protective functions.
