Most people call him Passang Appa. An elder village man who is my neighbour from Kathok, a small hamlet in Pakyong. I have grown up listening to his adventures of hunting wild animals to ghost encounters. All the traps he lay for wild rabbits and the right guess about the blood pheasant's nest. A tracker who can outsmart the deer and find its trail. A man who has lived all his life in principle who still prefers residing in a hut made from mud and bamboo.Very humble being but very particular about his tools. Loves his farm animals and carves the finest of ploughs.One amongst the few last elders whose legacy will be lost after him in this modern era.It's always been a pleasure knowing him and all his experiences..
