Tour Operators Association Of Assam

We, “Tour Operator Association of Assam (TOAA)”, appeal to the abductors for immediate, unconditional and safe release of Assam Forest Department officers, CCF Abhijit Rabha and Range Officer Ranjan Barua, abducted in Karbi Anglong on March 3.

These officers have worked sincerely for conservation of the state’s forest and wildlife which is of utmost importance to our society and development of tourism in the region. Further such abductions give a very bad impression to the developing tourism in the state which is the livelihood of many young entrepreneurs and unemployed youths.

Also, the officer’s committed efforts towards conservation along with civil society organizations would not only ensure ecological security of the region but would also enhance the quality of life for all, especially for the communities living in and around the forested areas.

Therefore, it is our sincere and earnest appeal to the abductors to immediately release the forest officials towards the greater benefit of the society and relief to their family members.
