Tarun Gogoi, a figure who fits every aspect of a dynamic politician and a charismatic human being. The longest serving Chief Minister of Assam left for his heavenly abode on Nov 23, 2020, leaving behind his beloved state's people in deep anguish and agony.

Tarun Gogoi has been one of the most prominent leaders of this country. Rising to fame in 1976, Gogoi was one of the core members of Sanjay Gandhi team and led the state's youth under Ambika Soni's leadership. Shri Tarun Gogoi as a CM had led Assam through few of the most difficult times. This day is the end of an era for the political scenario of Assam. We will forever remember Shri Tarun Gogoi for the humility, smile and innocence he carried till his last breath. An unreparable loss for the country. May the bereaved family gain strength. May the beautiful soul Rest in Peace!
