⚠️ Citralka / urinary alkaliser in UTI? Think twice.

Urinary alkalisers (citrate preparations) are Contraindicated for treating UTIs as per US FDA.

Cochrane reviews show no strong evidence that alkalising urine improves UTI outcomes.

👉 UTIs need proper antibiotics, not urine alkalisation.
👉 Alkalising urine may even reduce antibiotic effectiveness in some cases and increase bacterial load.

Treat the cause, not just the burning.
