The latest report from the World Meteorological Organization shares an important message.
Our planet is warming faster.

The years from 2015 to 2025 were the warmest on record.
In 2025, the global temperature was about 1.43°C above pre-industrial levels.
Oceans are absorbing most of the excess heat and a large share of carbon dioxide.
This is causing ocean warming and acidification.

Ice is melting in the Arctic, Antarctica, and Greenland.
Sea levels are rising faster as a result.
Climate patterns like El Niño are driving more extreme events such as heatwaves, floods, and droughts.
These changes are affecting people. They are impacting health, food security, and livelihoods.

The report was released on World Meteorological Day 2026.
It supports global climate action along with the work of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.
The message is clear. We need to act now.

I was invited as the Guest of Honour at Shri Vaishnav Institute of Management and Science on the occasion of World Water Day 2026.
SVIMS, a leading institution in Indore, has been consistently working towards academic excellence and social responsibility.
Their efforts in promoting water conservation through community outreach and awareness programs are truly meaningful.

I was happy to be part of this initiative and to interact with students and faculty who are committed to building a more sustainable future.
I am glad that I had the opportunity to contribute to an important conversation on responsible water use and environmental sustainability.

What actions are you taking to conserve water in your daily life?
