Empowering Arunachal Pradesh's rural heroes! 50 BC Sakhis completed a 2-day refresher training on March 13, 2026, and received Micro ATMs from Arunachal Pradesh Rural Bank (APRB) under NABARD's Financial Inclusion Fund (FIF), plus training certificates.

Distributed by Shri Varaprasad Kumar Kuppili (AGM, NABARD) and Shri Balaban Deory (Director, APRB RSETI, Yupia), these tools will supercharge last-mile digital banking for SHG members and rural communities.

Hillang Tasap, SMM–FI,ArSRLM shared how BC Sakhis will transform SHG transactions. They'll now deploy via Vimopay at APRB BC Centres statewide!

Sagalee Block Celebrates Grand International Women’s Day (IWD) – March 7-8, 2026!

Sagalee Block proudly hosted a two-day extravaganza themed “Give to Gain”, alongside vital local messages: “Stop Drug Abuse” and “Stop Child Marriage." Organized by Mete Dene MPCS Ltd., Parte Dene MPCS Ltd., and Swgbo CLF in collaboration with APWWS Sagalee Branch, the event drew massive community support!

Day 1 Highlights (March 7):

Thrilling sports competition among 22 PLFs under Sagalee Block and APWWS Sagalee Branch.

Inauguration of an exhibition stall featuring innovative products from PGs, SHGs, PMFME, and VDVK groups – celebrating women’s entrepreneurship and livelihoods!

Evening cultural extravaganza with singing and dancing by SHG talents, graced by PRI leaders, community stalwarts, and legendary singer Shri Ashok Sonam.

Day 2 Main Event (March 8):

Mass rally by all SHG members raising awareness on gender issues, drug abuse, and early marriage.

Distinguished guests: Chief Guest Smti Nabam Yahi Tad (Corporator, Ward No. 17, IMC), Guest of Honour Smti Nabam Yakum (former ZPC), APRB BM Shri Nani Chada, SMM IBCB Ms. Adap Golo, ME-HR Ms. Ipe Ete, PRI leaders, Gaon Buras, and SHG husbands.

Fun & inspiring segments: Best Supporting Husband, Best Supporting PLF to CLF, and Best Loan Repayment PLF awards. Resource persons spoke on women’s rights, gender equality, and shared household duties.

This vibrant gathering of SHG mothers, leaders, and the public reinforced our commitment to women’s empowerment, social awareness, and collective responsibility. Together, we’re building a stronger Sagalee!

Arunachal Saras 2026 Kicks Off with Grand Inauguration!

Itanagar, January 16, 2026: A momentous day for rural entrepreneurship in Arunachal Pradesh! The Arunachal State Rural Livelihoods Mission (ArSRLM) proudly inaugurated the third edition of Arunachal Saras 2026 at the DK Convention Centre. This vibrant festival celebrates the incredible spirit of women-led Self Help Groups (SHGs) and rural entrepreneurs.

The event was graced by Shri Ojing Tasing, Hon’ble Minister for Rural Development & Panchayati Raj (RD & PR), who formally opened the ceremony. Joining him were esteemed dignitaries like Er. Taniya Soki, Advisor to Hon’ble Minister RD & PR; Dr. Sonal Swaroop, Secretary RD & PR; PS Aleng, IRS, regional manager, Trifed and Smt. Sangeeta Yirang, CEO-cum-State Mission Manager, ArSRLM.

In his inspiring address, the Minister urged women SHGs to keep pushing boundaries in strengthening rural livelihoods, promising even greater government support ahead. A highlight was the financial boost for two Women Farmer Producer Companies (WFPCs): Retusa WFPCL received ₹357 lakhs, and Kenna WFPCL got ₹364 lakhs!

Adding to the excitement, the Minister inaugurated “Arunima” – a special retail outlet spotlighting SHG products from every corner of Arunachal. The first outlet is now live at Hollongi Airport, with another in Itanagar. He symbolically handed over the keys to SHG members, unlocking new market opportunities for our rural heroes!

This year's Saras unites women entrepreneurs from 25 districts of Arunachal, plus guests from West Bengal, Nagaland, Assam and Manipur. Mother Kitchens (ArSRLM-supported catering units) from Arunachal districts and Sikkim are dishing out delights too.

But it's not just business – get ready for fun! Enjoy K-pop dance competitions, cosplay contests, traditional dances, pet shows, and live artist performances. It's a perfect blend of culture, commerce, and community!
