A Social Mobilization Campaign (SMC) was successfully conducted at Samrah Panchayat, Block Shakar Chiktan, with active participation from Self Help Group (SHG) members, ASHA workers, Anganwadi workers, and community members from Khangral and Samraha Panchayats. The campaign aimed at strengthening community awareness and participation in development initiatives under the National Rural Livelihoods Mission (NRLM).

The program focused on promoting financial inclusion, gender equality, and Food, Nutrition, Health, and WASH (FNHW) practices. Detailed information was shared regarding the NRLM scheme, its objectives, and benefits, enabling community members to better understand livelihood opportunities, women’s empowerment initiatives, and access to government support systems.

The campaign witnessed enthusiastic participation and positive engagement from the community. As a key outcome of the mobilization efforts, one new Self Help Group was successfully formed, reflecting increased awareness and willingness among women to collectively work towards economic self-reliance.

Emphasis was laid on the importance of regular meetings and continuous discussions, which are crucial for effective implementation and monitoring of LRLM activities at the grassroots level. Such interactions help address local issues, strengthen group cohesion, and ensure sustained community participation.

The success of the campaign highlights the dedicated efforts of LRLM field staff, who are consistently working on the ground to mobilize communities, facilitate discussions, and ensure effective delivery of program objectives. Their commitment and teamwork continue to play a vital role in strengthening livelihoods and empowering rural communities.
