Lion Day aims to raise awareness of the majestic hunter, the ultimate feline, the king of the jungle, the big fluffy kitty of the Serengeti.

World Lion Day is a day to celebrate and raise awareness of the conservation as well as sustainable solutions to protect and save global wild lion populations from extinction

Lions with the scientific name Panthera leo are the second-largest cat in the world, just behind the Asian tiger.
lions are a “vulnerable” species, meaning that their numbers could and should be higher .

What can we do to save lion ?

1. Visiting wildlife parks and reserves generates employment and financial benefits for countries and help strengthen the political will for conservation of wilderness and wildlife.

2.Do not ever purchase any souvenirs, trinkets, or other products made from wildlife parts.

3. Join the uproar. You can help to spread the word. Talk about the issue with your friends and family. Use social media to share the message that lions need help.

4.Donate money to the cause or Adopt a lion. By adopting a lion, you’ll be making a monthly contribution which will fund the organization’s projects to protect lions and reduce human-lion conflict.

It’s not about how and if animals will survive, it’s about if men will let them live and save them. Wish you a very happy World Lion Day !!
