Even though the top of the tree was violently destroyed, the roots deep within the earth remained healthy and connected to the source of life.
A believer may face devastating hardships—their worldly life might feel shattered or broken like that old stump—but if their roots are deeply planted in the remembrance of Allah and true faith, they will always find a way to grow, heal, and rise toward the light again.

Imaging studies suggest that regular meditation
and other contemplative practices can influence brain activity and strengthen neural pathways involved in attention, emotional regulation, compassion, and self-reflection.
The brain adapts to repeated behavior through a process called neuroplasticity. Just as exercise changes muscles, regular meditation can strengthen specific networks associated with focus, gratitude, mindfulness, and emotional recovery.
Researchers have found changes in regions involved in stress regulation and emotional processing. These changes may help explain why most people report greater stability, purpose, and emotional well-being from a consistent spiritual practice.
Meditation can also activate the body’s relaxation response. This can help reduce stress levels, It can help improve emotional balance and strengthen connection and meaning.

Red Giant
the Quran describes events that line up closely with what science calls the Sun’s "red giant phase" - though it doesn’t use that exact term. The Quran is a book of guidance, not a science textbook. So it gives the meaning, not the physics formula.
Here are 3 key verses that match:
*1. The Sun will be "wrapped up" / folded*
*Surah At-Takwir 81:1*
_"When the sun is wrapped up in darkness"_ *إِذَا الشَّمْسُ كُوِّرَتْ*
*Connection:* _Kuwwirat_ means to fold up like a turban or wrap a ball of paper. Science says after the red giant phase, the Sun throws off its outer layers and collapses into a tiny "white dwarf". So it expands first, then gets "wrapped up/folded". Same sequence.
*2. The Sun will lose its light*
*Surah Al-Qiyamah 75:8-9*
_"And the moon darkens, and the sun and moon are joined together"_
*Connection:* As a red giant the Sun’s surface cools from 5,500°C to ∼3,000°C. Cooler star = less light = "darkens". The "sun and moon joined" also hints the whole solar system order breaks down.
*3. The sky turns rose-red like oil*
*Surah Ar-Rahman 55:37*
_"Then when the heaven is rent asunder, it will become rose-colored like oil"_ *فَإِذَا انشَقَّتِ السَّمَاءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَالدِّهَانِ*
*Connection:* This is the most striking one. When a star like the Sun dies as a red giant, it blows off its outer shell and creates a "planetary nebula". From telescopes they look exactly like glowing rose/red oil, or red leather. Examples: Ring Nebula, Cat’s Eye Nebula. The Quran described this color 1400 years ago.
*Important note*
The Quran doesn’t say "hydrogen fusion, 5 billion years, helium core" because that wasn’t the point. The point is: _"Your Sun, that you depend on daily, will not last forever. So don’t get arrogant about this world."_
Science answers *"how"* it happens. Quran answers *"why"* it matters.
*Summary table:*
**Science says** **Quran says**
Sun expands into red giant *Kuwwirat* - will be wrapped up
Surface cools, light dims *Khasafa* - will darken
Dies into red/pink nebula *Wardatan kaddihan* - rose like oil
So yes, the concept is there. Word "red giant" is modern, but the event is described.

The sun will reduce its heat temperature. The terrifying scene of the Day of Judgment.

Miqdad b. Aswad reported:
I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace he upon him) as saying: On the Day of Resurrection, the sun would draw so close to the people that there woum be left only a distance of one mile. Sulaim b. Amir said: By Allah, I do not know whether he meant by mile the mile of the (material) earth or dn instrument used for applying collyrium to the eye. (The Prophet is, however, reported to have said): The people would be submerged in perspiration according to their deeds, some up to their. knees, Some up to the waist and some would have the bridle of perspiration and, while saying this, Allah's Apostle ( صلی اللہ علیہ وسلم ) pointed his hand towards his mouth.

The Heavens Have Pillars, But You Do Not See Them
Allah the Exalted says:
﴾Allah is the One who raised the heavens without pillars that you can see﴿ [Ar-Ra'd 13:2]
And He says:
﴾Indeed, Allah holds the heavens and the earth lest they cease to exist﴿ [Fatir 35:41]
Al-Tabari narrated, with his chain of transmission, from a number of the early Muslim scholars (Salaf) that the meaning of the verse is: the heavens were raised with pillars, but those pillars are not seen by people.
Among the reports he mentioned:
From Abdullah ibn Abbas: "They have pillars, but you do not see them."
From Mujahid ibn Jabr: "Pillars that are not seen."
From Al-Hasan Al-Basri: "With pillars that you do not see."
And from Qatadah ibn Di'amah, a similar statement.
According to this interpretation, the pronoun in "you see them" refers to the pillars; that is, "without pillars that you can see," meaning without visible pillars.
In our time, it draws our attention that Allah has made the universe governed by invisible forces that preserve celestial bodies and regulate the movement of matter and energy. These are:
• Gravity: which keeps planets, stars, and galaxies in their orbits.
• Electromagnetism: which binds atoms and molecules and is responsible for most electrical and magnetic phenomena.
• The strong nuclear force: which holds together the components of the atomic nucleus and preserves its cohesion.
• The weak nuclear force: which is responsible for certain nuclear transformations within stars and among the elements.
And Allah knows best.
