Being happy for them and grieving the end of an era can exist together ❤️
One minute I’m excited watching her step into this beautiful new chapter…
and the next I’m crying ( a lot lately ) because the girl who needed me for every little thing suddenly doesn’t.
So if you’re a Grade 12 mom currently emotional, irrational, overprotective, picking silly fights, or feeling completely unprepared for this transition… you are definitely not alone 🥰
I think a lot of us aren’t angry ( though is seems like that 😓)
We’re just heartbroken in advance🥲
We spent years building our lives around school calendars, lunches, late-night pep talks, project chaos, tournament schedules, forgotten water bottles, laptops , kit bags , restaurant bookings, Mumma can u … ???? … and suddenly the house is about to get quieter and lonely 🥲
Yes yes I know this is exactly what we raised them for 🥹But wow… nobody prepares you for this part… hitting somehow very hard with the second child 🥲🥲
To all the moms feeling extra emotional lately… I see you❤️❤️ I feel you
