A bomb of a day it was,me....
From the 1st hand onwards i thought WOW what a hand

T he pattern was nearly the same for me,with aw in here& there it helped me keep the score😀But Veena took the cake,she went one off calling the entire day barring 1/2 hands
Poonam was winning for a while
But Ms Lutera was Neetu Sahni,it was the sheer Midas touch& her unswaying faith of saying PREETY AA JA&picking the last tile,it wasn't Abt the winning,it was about How the hands meandered towards the WIN
more power to your faith Neetu,let's see how the revenge goes today

Different places, different rules
In our convention
We don't let anyone know that you're calling,or one of calling,we play with a poker face,for the hawks around you will spoil their hand
But not give you a tile,they observe your body language
Your habitual mannerisms,your expressions,so poker face,dead expression is the answer,but in Goa,you have to place a piece of glitter & say fishing,if you don't do this when you are calling ie one tile short of going Mahjong,you can't say MAHJONG
I guess different people different strokes
End of the day, it is Mahjong is the glue
Which sticks all of us makes us a tribe🎲🃏💕🀄🥂

Somewhere in late80's we gave up Playing the North Wind with cards
As in we distributed/picked a card& had to make the hand written on it
&We CLD use as many jokers we got in our wall pick.
No. Of jokers are 4
Hands played are&were Double limit& Super double limit,double limit hands are by& large the same all over with little variations here& there,the Super double limit hands are very few& vary from table to table,group to group

Did go to Tertulia where the event was held,there were three tables,Sheetal& her friends were very gracious,the hands were tad different, but was ok,for i was visiting & if I were to be here for good i wld've adapted,on the whole it was a very nice day well spent

Super excited to go to a Mahjong event in Panjim,it's going to be a first for me in Goa, don't know wether,it's going to be a watch , or am going to play,don't what style they play,for never played Goulash in East wind, any ways am looking fwd to the event tomorrow 🎲🃏🀄

I was double east had 2gardens
Had 3open kongs
It was enough to throw me off balance
Had a hidden pung of 8 boiz& a single tile
So i cld'nt pair the last tile to go Mahjong as i was checking& changing
Suddenly i get an 8 booz,and i thought ok i shall keep this for it is a new tile
I threw the single tile,& thought was call ing on 8 booz
& Irealized a tad too late that 8 booz was the kong tile& i had notile to call
Moralof the story

Be in the now
& Be alert
