Portability of health insurance in a nut shell means the process of changing your existing health insurance provider and moving on to a new health insurance provider without loosing on to the benefits that you have accrued over the period of years of continuous renewal.

The Good of Health Insurance Portability:
• Upgrade your Health Policy to a better option
• Lower Premium available due to competition
• All waiting periods waived of depending on vintage of the existing health policy

The Bad of Health Insurance Portability:
• Insurance Companies may reject the portability due to Higher Age, Health Insurance Portability

The Ugly of Health Insurance Portability:
• Make sure to disclose complete health condition while porting as any non-disclosure will give the insurance company, where the health policy is ported, a reason to decline the claim.
