Question: Do you prefer surprise gifts or do you like it better when you know the gift coming your way is something you know and want??
This was the question on the radio show playing while I was driving to the farm..

I was still thinking about it when I got there and when I saw our guys pulling up gorgeous baby carrots off the ground, I knew my answer
I love surprise gifts and that’s why harvesting root vegetables make me soo happy (when the harvest goes well of course 😅)

Delighted to finally receive the scope certificate for the current year. Thank you for the patience and guidance.

Being certified organic is not just about not using harmful chemicals on the farm. You need TONs of documentation, discipline and record keeping to go from organic to certified organic.

Between weeding out slugs and keeping out rabbits, juggling harvests and plantings and ensuring beds are neither too wet nor too dry we missed out on a lot of essential record keeping.

It took us nearly three months to fill out the gaps and get necessary approvals for the organic inputs used at the farm.

Now to make sure every sowing, every seed saved, every harvest, every input used is diligently documented 😃

In season now 💚 Fresh turmeric is now ready for harvest! Best enjoyed in chutneys, haldi milk and pickled!!
