What did I say about starting merino. Had we had Nwaneri or Eze starting in that role the first half could have been different. That Merino offers no threat at all

My most hated City player isn’t Haaland… it’s Bernardo Silva. Him and Rodri said we only took advantage of their “bad state” last season when we smashed them 5-1. Just to remind you, there’ll be no compassion shown from our side this time either.

We all know how much you lot hate Arsenal – trust me, the feeling is mutual. 🔴⚪👊

Just saw the line-up… and again, Merino in midfield. Honestly, he slows the whole game down – not just himself, but everyone around him looks slower. Why can’t we back Nwaneri as the first choice in that position? The kid brings pace, energy, and creativity – exactly what we need.

Mark my words, sticking with Merino like this could cost us the title before it even gets decided.

Hope United had a good week with no European matches to play, Liverpool – let’s see how long you’ll continue scoring at the last minute, and Spurs – you’re a s**t club and your time will come! 😏

Sunday we host City at the Emirates. I still remember that sweet 5-1 thrashing we handed them last season – proper humbling, wasn’t it? 🔥 This season, apart from that narrow 0-1 defeat to Liverpool, we’ve been solid. But here’s my concern – we’re playing a bit too cautious, more like “let’s not lose” instead of “let’s win.” Too often it feels like we’re waiting for that set-piece goal so the opponent opens up, and then we go for the kill.

Hopefully tomorrow we balance attack and defence perfectly – and maybe remind City that last season’s embarrassment still stings. ⚽🔴⚪ Meanwhile, Man United had a nice rest with no European night, so let’s see if they’re cheering from the sidelines while we do the talking on the pitch!

Liverpool vs Arsenal… and sadly our first defeat of the season came too early.

Positives:
Madueke looked sharp on his first start, dangerous down the right. Zubimendi solid at no.6 though I still miss Partey’s flair. Massive credit to Mosquera – stepped in after 5 mins and looked like a £13m steal. Defence held strong as always.

Negatives:
Losing Saliba early is a big blow. Martinelli poor again. Merino doesn’t work in midfield. Gyökeres barely involved. Rice’s free kick went into the stands.

Overall: Defensively reliable but very little going forward. I really miss the Wenger-ball through the middle.
