*Jammu Police Continues War Against Drugs; Drug Peddler Arrested with Approx. 07 Grams of He**in-like Substance at Bana Chak, Bishnah*

Jammu, June, 2026:

Continuing its intensified campaign against drug trafficking under the ongoing 100 Days Anti-Drug Drive and Nasha Mukt Jammu & Kashmir Abhiyan, Jammu Police achieved another success by arresting a drug peddler under the jurisdiction of Police Station Bishnah.

A police team of Police Station Bishnah, while conducting naka checking at Bana Chak near Ayushman Aarogya Mandir, apprehended one person identified as Dalbir Singh S/o Vijay Singh R/o Ratnal, Bishnah.

During his personal search, approximately 07 grams of heroin-like substance was recovered from his possession.

In this regard, FIR No. 108/2026 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Bishnah, and investigation has been taken up to ascertain the forward and backward linkages of the drug network and identify other persons involved in the illicit trade.

Jammu Police remains committed to its zero-tolerance policy against drug trafficking and reiterates its resolve to eradicate the menace of drugs from society. The general public is requested to extend cooperation by sharing information regarding drug-related activities so that effective action can be taken and a safe, healthy, and drug-free society can be ensured.

*SAMBA POLICE ARRESTS A LADY DRUG PEDDLER WITH 10.25 GRAMS HE**IN LIKE SUBSTANCE*

Samba: June 26, 2026: Continuing its drive against drug smugglers & peddlers under the ongoing Nasha Mukt Abhiyan, Samba Police has achieved another success by arresting a lady drug peddler within the jurisdiction of Police Station Vijaypur and recovering approximately 10.25 grams heroin-like substance (chitta) from her possession.

Acting on information received from reliable sources, a team of Police Station Vijaypur, intercepted a lady pedestrian who was coming from Rakh Barotain and moving towards AIIMS Vijaypur under suspicious circumstances. During frisking, approximately 10.25 grams of heroin-like substance (chitta) was recovered from her possession.

The lady drug peddler identified as Nifan Bibi @ Nifa D/o Tej Ali W/o Mohd Younis R/o Rakh Barotian tehsil Vijaypur district Samba has been arrested and the contraband item has also been seized.

A case FIR No 108/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Vijaypur and investigation started.

CRACKDOWN ON DRUGS BY RAJOURI POLICE
In a significant action against drug trafficking, Nowshera Police achieved major success during the patrolling on 25-06-2026.

During routine checking, one pedestrian namely Vishal Gangal S/O Rajiv Gangal R/O Makri Tehsil Nowshera was intercepted at Ward No 2 Lamberi.
On checking total 10.85 grams of He**in was recovered from his possession.

The accused person was arrested on the spot and the contraband was seized. Accordingly, FIR No. 125/2026 U/S 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at PS Nowshera.

Rajouri Police Arrests Drug Peddler; He**in-like Substance Recovered in Nowshera.

Continuing its drive against drug trafficking and substance abuse Rajouri Police achieved success by apprehending a drug peddler and recovering heroin-like substance from his possession.
During routine naka checking at Thalka Naka Police Party of Police Station Nowshera intercepted a suspicious person who attempted to flee after noticing the police presence. He was apprehended and identified as:

Sandeep Chandan S/O Khem Raj R/O Dabbar Tehsil Nowshera District Rajouri.*

During his personal search 2.49 grams of heroin-like narcotic substance was recovered from his possession. The recovered contraband was seized on the spot in accordance with legal procedures.

In this connection a Case FIR No. 123/2026 under relevant Sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Nowshera and investigation has been taken up to ascertain the source and forward linkages of the recovered narcotic substance.
