Today, on International Women’s Day, we celebrate the amazing women behind Harela Community Shop.

These women from our villages come together to prepare homemade pickles, spices, jams, chutneys, and many other handmade products. With patience and traditional knowledge passed down through generations, they create each product with great care.

Harela is not just about products — it is about women supporting each other, learning together, and slowly building confidence and independence through their work.

On this Women’s Day, we are proud to celebrate their strength, dedication, and the beautiful traditions they continue to keep alive.

Our wooden and cloth wildlife key chains are handcrafted and eco-friendly, giving a unique touch that regular key chains do not have.

They are inspired by the wildlife around us and the landscape people here live alongside. Simple in appearance, yet each one carries the hard work, care, and traditional skills of the artisans who make them. Because they are made by hand, with time and dedication, they are truly different from factory-made products.

New stock is now available at Harela Community Shop. If you would like to add one to your daily life or gift it to someone, please feel free to WhatsApp or DM us.

New handmade woollen scarves and headbands have been added to our collection, crafted by women from forest-edge villages near Corbett. Each piece reflects careful handwork, balanced weaves, and soothing colours inspired by the mountains.

These scarves and headbands are made from comfortable, breathable wool, making them ideal for everyday winter use — not too heavy, soft on the skin, and easy to pair with travel, nature walks, or simple daily wear.

Every purchase directly supports local women entrepreneurs, helping create sustainable livelihoods, reduce village migration, and ease pressure on forests, while providing women with dignified, long-term income opportunities.

Available now at Harela Community Shop, near Garjiya Gate, Corbett National Park.
