Sh. Rajesh Kumar, Director (Finance), REC Ltd., chaired the session on “Financing the Transmission Imperative” at the National Conference on Power Transmission organised by India Energy Forum on 29 May 2026 in New Delhi. The session featured eminent industry leaders and sectoral experts including Balwant Joshi, MD, Idam Infrastructure Advisory, Akshay Hiranandani, CEO, Serentica Renewables, Sushant Kansal, VP, NAFBID and Satyan Kumar, VP, Sekura.

Emphasising that transmission is the backbone of India’s energy transition, Sh. Kumar spoke on the need for long-term, affordable capital at scale. He further highlighted REC and PFC’s pioneering role in absorbing construction-phase risks in transmission projects and underscored the potential of state transmission asset monetisation through InvITs to unlock and recycle equity for fresh investments.

REC sanctioned over ₹24,000 crore in transmission financing last fiscal year, while RECPDCL has facilitated projects worth over ₹2 lakh crore through the TBCB route.

Sh. Rajesh Kumar concluded the session by reiterating
“Transmission is not just utility infrastructure. It is nation-building infrastructure for Viksit Bharat.”

आरईसी लिमिटेड के गुरुग्राम स्थित मुख्यालय में स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा 2026 के अंतर्गत सफाई मित्रों के लिए सुरक्षा उपायों पर एक जागरूकता सत्र का आयोजन किया गया। इस दौरान सफाई मित्रों को अपशिष्ट प्रबंधन के प्रभावी तरीकों एवं सुरक्षा प्रोटोकॉल की विस्तृत जानकारी प्रदान की गई, ताकि कचरे का नियमित उठाव और उचित निस्तारण की व्यवस्था को और अधिक प्रभावी बनाया जा सके। इस अवसर पर उनके समर्पण, मेहनत और योगदान की सराहना भी की गई।

To strengthen quality testing and assurance mechanisms for materials deployed under the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme (RDSS), REC Ltd. signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Electrical Research and Development Association (ERDA) today at SCOPE Complex, New Delhi.

The MoU was signed by Sh. Prabhat Kumar Singh, Executive Director (RDSS), REC Limited and Sh. Brijesh Sachdeva, Head of ERDA North. The signing ceremony was accorded by the presence of Sh. Prince Dhawan, Executive Director (PMD), REC Ltd. and officials from both organisations.

Under the agreement, REC Limited and ERDA will collaborate for third-party quality testing of RDSS project materials, technical support, capacity-building initiatives, and development of robust quality frameworks. The partnership will help ensure that materials used in RDSS works conform to prescribed standards and contribute to improved operational reliability of the distribution network across the country.

आरईसी लिमिटेड के क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय, रायपुर द्वारा स्वच्छता पखवाड़ा-2026 के अंतर्गत सराहनीय पहल की गई। इसके तहत 'संवेदना मानसिक दिव्यांग सेवा संस्थान' द्वारा संचालित 'घरौंदा' में निवासरत दिव्यांगजनों के लिए हाउसकीपिंग एवं साफ-सफाई से संबंधित सामग्री वितरित की गई। इस पहल का उद्देश्य छात्रावास में सफाई व्यवस्था सुनिश्चित करना तथा दैनिक उपयोग एवं स्वच्छता संबंधित आवश्यकताओं की पूर्ति में सहयोग प्रदान करना था।
