Hi, I'm Silvia... the mind, hands and heart behind "Ananke Studio".
As far back as I can remember I’ve always loved creating jewelry: in fact, one of my favorite gift as a child was a kit to make beads with paper!
In 2013, thanks to my sister, I discovered Etsy and so was born "A Chic Fairytale", my little enchanted world where I could fully express my creativity and share it with other jewelry lovers.
Over the years I have experimented with many techniques and materials: from bead weaving to wire wrapping and hand-painted jewels, up to the most recent ones made with the Tiffany technique and electroforming.
2016 has been the turning point year: I've decided to take silversmithing classes, which have been essential to learn the basics of metalworking and thus to have the full creative control of the jewelry I create.
"Ananke Studio" debuts on 2018 and it's the natural evolution of my work and passions: I love creating dainty and minimal jewelry that can be worn everyday, and to make them I like to use high quality "non-precious" materials, such as aluminum and copper... in fact I strongly believe that it's not the material that makes a jewel precious, but its meaning!
Guess why the name "Ananke Studio"? Due to my love (oh, well... maybe obsession is the most correct word) for Notre Dame de Paris ツ

Ciao, sono Silvia... la mente, le mani ed il cuore di "Ananke Studio".
Fin da quando ne ho memoria ho sempre amato creare gioielli: uno dei miei regali preferiti da bambina, infatti, era un kit per realizzare perline con la carta!
Nel 2013, grazie a mia sorella, ho scoperto Etsy ed è nato "A Chic Fairytale", il mio piccolo mondo incantato in cui poter esprimere appieno la mia creatività e condividerla con altri appassionati di gioielli.
Nel corso degli anni ho sperimentato tantissime tecniche e materiali: dalla tessitura di perline al wire wrapping e ai gioielli dipinti a mano, fino ai più recenti gioielli realizzati con tecnica Tiffany ed elettroformatura.
Il 2016 è stato l'anno della svolta: ho infatti deciso di seguire un corso di oreficeria, che è stato fondamentale per poter imparare le basi della lavorazione dei metalli e per avere così il pieno controllo creativo dei miei gioielli.
"Ananke Studio" debutta il 10 gennaio 2018 ed è la naturale evoluzione del mio lavoro e delle mie passioni: amo creare gioielli semplici e minimal che possano essere indossati tutti i giorni, e per realizzarli mi piace utilizzare materiali "non preziosi", ma di alta qualità, come alluminio e rame... infatti credo fermamente che non sia il materiale a rendere prezioso un gioiello, ma il suo significato!
Perchè ho scelto il nome "Ananke Studio"? Per il mio amore (oh, beh... forse ossessione è la parola più corretta) per Notre Dame de Paris ツ
