The 250 GT SWB Berlinetta ( also called SWB Short Wheel Base ) is a sports car built by Ferrari from 1959 to 1962 and who participated in car races of the GT category .
The engine was front , longitudinal and stemmed from one conceived by Gioacchino Colombo , namely a V12 at 60 ° with distribution in single camshaft to the head for cylinder bank , which had two valves each.
This engine provided a power of between 260 and 280 hp at 7000 rpm in the racing version and 240 hp in the road versions .
The model had a top speed of 202 to 270 km / h in the racing versions depending on final drive ratio and 250 km / h in the road versions .

La 250 GT Berlinetta passo corto (detta anche SWB, Short Wheel Base) è un'autovettura sportiva costruita dalla Ferrari dal 1959 al 1962 e che ha partecipato alle competizioni automobilistiche della categoria Gran Turismo.
Il motore era anteriore, longitudinale e derivava da quello concepito da Gioacchino Colombo, vale a dire un V12 a 60° con distribuzione a singolo albero a camme in testa per bancata di cilindri, che avevano due valvole ciascuno.
Questo propulsore forniva una potenza compresa tra 260 ed i 280 CV a 7000 giri al minuto nelle versioni da competizione e 240 Cv nelle versioni stradali.
Il modello raggiungeva una velocità massima da 202 a 270 km/h nelle versioni da competizione a seconda del rapporto al ponte finale e 250 km/h nelle versioni stradali.
