Across the UAE, GreenTech has delivered large-scale solar street lighting projects - from Al Furjan and Ras Ghumais to Al Samha and Bida Almutaww - contributing to more than 20,000 installed poles regionally. These projects demonstrate how reliable, high-performance off-grid lighting can be deployed at scale, supporting new urban developments, industrial zones, and remote areas alike.
Compared to conventional grid-connected poles, solar street lighting eliminates electricity bills, reduces trenching and cabling costs, and significantly lowers long-term maintenance requirements. With integrated PV panels, smart controllers, and long-life batteries, modern systems offer 5-10+ years of dependable operation while cutting carbon emissions and protecting municipalities from rising energy costs.

Reflecting again on the successful conclusion of the Greentech Makerthon 2025 Bootcamp last weekend - an inspiring two-day gathering of innovators, youth leaders, and sustainability enthusiasts, engaging with prototype development, expert mentorship, technical coaching, and hands-on problem-solving sessions.
