Senior Software Developer Position

Info2cell Amman Offices have a vacancy for A Senior Software Developer.

Job Description and Requirements

• Design and develop enterprise grade, high-volume web applications platforms and state of the art technical solutions leveraging Java and JEE platform technologies.
◦ Participate in design discussions and solution design sessions with product management and software development teams to shape new product features and platform capabilities.
• Develop and support integration solutions for internal applications as well as 3rd party systems integration scenarios.
• Contribute to the evaluation, prototyping and selection of software solutions from time to time to make recommendations to enhance performance and scalability of our flagship products.
• Provide hands-on guidance and mentorship to the team members.
• Foster and support culture of innovation and excellence in the engineering organization.
• Apply Test Driven Development practices and software quality measurement tools.

Skills

• Demonstrable fluency in standard JEE technologies - JSF, JSP, JMS, JAX-RS, JTA and JPA.
• Solid Hibernate - JPA development and SQL query writing skills.
• Deep understanding of Java enterprise development best practices and coding conventions.
• Strong knowledge and experience with HTML, CSS, AJAX, JavaScript, XML and JSON..
• Advanced knowledge of MySQL and any one no-SQL databases, such as Redis.
• Solid understanding of Maven build tool.
• Proficient in Apache Tomcat container.
• Experience from Test Driven Development.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Possess an ability to handle change and to multitask
• Comfortable with the Linux CLI
• Good understanding of source control systems.

Education & Experience
• BSc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or any related field.
• Has achieved proficiency in the role of a Programmer Analyst, and team leading position (Minimum 5 years experience).
