Shuichi Endo, leader of Tuvalu Overview, returned to Japan last night after concluding an environmental lecture tour near Naples. The tour included lectures in Sarno, a renowned Pomodoro production area; Quarto, a town within the outer rim of an active volcano; the coastal city of Salerno; and the port town of Acciaroli, famous for its longevity. He gave presentations on Tuvalu, climate change, and the future of young people at a well-attended event with many student participants, receiving an enthusiastic response.

This tour was arranged by Mr. Paolo, an Italian friend working towards establishing an Italy-Tuvalu Friendship Association. Hoping it would be a kickoff event for the association, everything was done on a volunteer basis, so it didn't contribute to the organization's revenue. However, it was a valuable experience for both the organization and his personally, one that connects to the future. Thank you, Paolo.

Southern Italy was a comfortable place with many cheerful people possessing that island nation temperament. It became a place I want to visit again.
