The new Champions League system has been determined and officially approved, and the draw system has been determined as well.

Starting from the 2024/25 season .. The new Champions League system is different, exciting and very wonderful.

• The number of teams in the tournament is 36 teams, not 32

• There will be a league table, not a system of 8 different groups

• By draw .. Each team will play against 8 different teams in the groups

• Where each team will play four matches at home and four matches away from home, and this will be determined by draw

• Each team will play against two teams from each classification

• Meaning that your team will play two matches against a team from the first classification (one at home and the second away) and the same thing with the second, third and fourth classifications.

• The first 8 teams in the league table qualify directly to the round of 16

• Teams from 9th to 24th place will play against some home and away knockout matches to determine the 8 teams that will qualify for the round of 16

• Teams from 25th to 36th place will be eliminated directly from the tournament and there is no such thing as relegation to the Europa League

• The matches will be played on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

AC Milan chose not to renew Andrea Pirlo's contract in 2011 because they thought he was too old. He was 32.

Pirlo then signed for Juventus on a free transfer and won Serie A Player of the Year for three seasons in a row. A record still unmatched today.
