*WHY DO YOU EXPERIENCE JOINTS PAIN?*
👇🏾
Joint pain can arise from a variety of causes, ranging from temporary conditions to chronic diseases. Some common causes of joint pain include:

1. **Arthritis**:
- **Osteoarthritis**: Degeneration of joint cartilage and the underlying bone, common with aging.
- **Rheumatoid Arthritis**: An autoimmune disorder where the body's immune system attacks the joints.
- **Gout**: A form of arthritis characterized by severe pain, redness, and tenderness in joints, often the big toe, caused by an excess of uric acid.

2. **Injury**:
- **Sprains and Strains**: Damage to ligaments or muscles around the joints.
- **Fractures**: Broken bones can cause significant joint pain.
- **Dislocations**: When bones are forced out of their normal positions in the joint.

3. **Inflammatory Conditions**:
- **Bursitis**: Inflammation of the bursae, small sacs of fluid that cushion joints.
- **Tendinitis**: Inflammation of the tendons around joints.

4. **Infections**:
- **Septic Arthritis**: Infection within the joint, often caused by bacteria.

5. **Autoimmune Diseases**:
- **Lupus**: A systemic autoimmune disease that can cause joint pain and swelling.
- **Psoriatic Arthritis**: An inflammatory arthritis associated with psoriasis.

6. **Other Conditions**:
- **Fibromyalgia**: A chronic condition characterized by widespread pain, including joint pain.
- **Hypothyroidism**: Underactive thyroid can lead to joint pain and stiffness.
- **Lyme Disease**: An infection caused by tick bites, leading to joint pain and inflammation.

7. **Lifestyle Factors**:
- **Overuse**: Repetitive motion or overuse of a joint can lead to pain and inflammation.
- **Obesity**: Excess weight puts additional stress on joints, particularly weight-bearing ones like the knees and hips.

8. **Degenerative Diseases**:
- **Degenerative Disc Disease**: A condition that can cause joint pain, especially in the spine.

*ENLARGEMENT OF PROSTATE GLAND*

Prostate enlargement, also known as benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), is a common condition in older men mostly older than 50 years though it can also happen below that age.
It involves the non-cancerous growth of the prostate gland, which can lead to urinary problems.

*Here is an overview of BPH, including its causes, symptoms, diagnosis, and treatment options:*

* # # Causes*
The exact cause of BPH is not entirely understood, but several factors are known to contribute to the condition:

1. **Aging**:
- BPH is more common as men age, particularly after age 50.

2. **Hormonal Changes**:
- Hormonal changes related to aging, such as alterations in testosterone and dihydrotestosterone (DHT) levels, may stimulate prostate growth.

3. **Family History**:
- A family history of BPH may increase the risk of developing the condition.

* # # # Symptoms*
The symptoms of BPH result from the enlarged prostate pressing against the urethra and affecting bladder function. Common symptoms include:

- Frequent urination, especially at night (nocturia)
- Difficulty starting urination (hesitancy)
- Weak or interrupted urine stream-weak urine flow.
- Dribbling at the end of urination
- Inability to completely empty the bladder.
- Urgency to urinate especially at night.
- Straining to urinate
- Erectile dysfunctional-most men with prostate enlargement will suffer from pre-mature ej*******on or poor er****on.

* # # # Diagnosis*
Diagnosis of BPH involves several steps:

1. **Medical History and Physical Exam**:
- A thorough medical history and physical examination, including a digital re**al exam (DRE) to assess the size and condition of the prostate.

2. **Urine Tests**:
- Urinalysis to rule out infections or other conditions.

3. **Blood Tests**:
- Prostate-specific antigen (PSA) test to measure PSA levels in the blood, which can help rule out prostate cancer.

Ten population studies showed that those reporting higher consumption of garlic had half the risk of stomach cancer. Those who ate more garlic appeared to have lower cancer rates than those who ate less, suggesting a protective effect.

Individuals who eat more than a clove of garlic a day seem to have better artery function than those eating less than one daily clove. A randomized study on heart disease patients found that those randomized to take garlic powder twice a day for three months had a significant boost in their artery function. They achieved a 50 percent increase in function taking only 800 mg of garlic powder a day—just a daily quarter-teaspoon.

Might garlic powder be able to slow the progression of atherosclerosis? Study participants took either garlic powder tablets versus placebo for three months. The disease’s progression appeared to slow and even stall in the garlic group. Of course, it would be nice to see an actual reversal in the thickening of the artery wall, but for that, one might have to add more plants than just garlic to their diet. Though, a daily quarter-teaspoon of garlic powder may be considered as an adjunct treatment for atherosclerosis.

When dozens of studies on garlic were compiled, researchers saw that garlic can also reduce cholesterol levels in the blood by more than 16 points.

What about garlic for high blood pressure? A systematic review and meta-a**lysis of randomized controlled trials demonstrated that garlic has “a statistically significant and clinically meaningful effect” on both systolic and diastolic blood pressure, reducing the top number by nearly seven and the bottom number by about five. That may not sound like a lot, but reducing diastolic blood pressure (the bottom number) by five points can reduce the risk of stroke by about a third and heart disease risk by 25 percent.
