Who, having received such a charge, thrust them into the inner prison, and made their feet fast in the stocks.And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them.
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed.

Acts 16:24-26

Anytime we decide to praise God the way Paul and Silas did in the prison, we turn praise to high praise. Praise becomes high praise because it is a sacrificial praise. It is not done because situation is not favourable and comfortable, but because we are totally in love and committed to God. It is high praise that commands unusual response from God.
