unquenchable fire

You can silence your mouth, but you cannot silence the fire in your bones. And when God’s fire burns, your enemies’ dishonor is guaranteed.

People are fickle. They will make you doubt that God’s Word is true — even though it has been tested in every era of history and proven flawless. But the world is a powerful, unquenchable fire. It will shatter your bones. Jeremiah could only surrender to its intensity.

Friends may denounce you. They may wait for your downfall. They may pronounce terror over you. But God watches to bring dishonor upon your enemies.

The Bible records — Jeremiah 20:9-11:
“But if I say, ‘I will not mention His word or speak anymore in His name,’ His word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot. I hear many whispering, ‘Terror on every side! Denounce him! Let’s denounce him!’ All my friends are waiting for me to slip, saying, ‘Perhaps he will be deceived; then we will prevail over him and take our revenge on him.’ But the LORD is with me like a mighty warrior; so my persecutors will stumble and not prevail. They will fail and be thoroughly disgraced; their dishonor will never be forgotten.”

1. The World’s Fire vs. God’s Fire
People are fickle and the world’s opposition is like an unquenchable fire meant to break you. But Jeremiah discovered a greater fire — God’s Word burning in his bones. When God’s fire is inside you, the world’s fire cannot consume you.
2. Betrayal Precedes Breakthrough
Friends denounced Jeremiah, waited for his fall, and whispered “Terror on every side!” Dishonor from people is part of the prophet’s path. Don’t be shocked when those closest to you turn. God sees it.

3. God Repays Dishonor with Dishonor
Jeremiah couldn’t fight back. So he surrendered to God. Result: “The LORD is with me like a mighty warrior.” Your persecutors will stumble, fail, and be disgraced. Their dishonor will be remembered — but so will God’s faithfulness to you.

Prosperity of the Soul

3 John 1:2-3
“Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers. For I rejoiced greatly when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in you, just as you walk in the truth.”

Prayer, physical health, soul prosperity and walking in Truth are your weapons of warfare.
John’s prayer wasn’t for wealth alone. He prayed for total prosperity — spirit, health, and life — but he tied it to one condition: “just as your soul prospers.” God cares about your whole life, but your soul sets the pace.

John shows us things about a soul that prospers. If your soul prospers, everything else follows.

1. A PROSPERING SOUL WALKS IN TRUTH - v.3
You must walks in the truth. Truth to be lifestyle, not just your belief. A prospering soul is honest before God and man. One needs No masks, no shortcuts and never to live a double life.
God can’t trust you with “all things” if you can’t be trusted with truth. Integrity is the foundation of blessing.
Walking in truth protects your soul. And a protected soul attracts God’s prayer for wholeness.

2. A PROSPERING SOUL RECEIVES GOD’S PRAYER FOR WHOLENESS - v.2
John prays 3 dimensions about prospering in all things — finances, work and relationships. Health in body, mind, emotions are important but critical is soul prosperity because in spirit, character, peace lies your eternal life.

Do you know that you can be rich and broken. You can be healthy and bitter. But when your soul prospers, God says ‘now I can trust you with all things.’”
God wants you whole, not just rich. Health without peace is emptiness. Money without character is destruction. Your soul’s health is the ceiling for your life’s blessings. Deal with bitterness, unforgiveness, and sin, and watch other areas rise.

3. A PROSPERING SOUL BRINGS JOY TO OTHERS - v.3
1. John “rejoiced greatly” when he heard about their walk. A prospering soul doesn’t just bless you — it blesses the church, family and the community.
While your growth in truth becomes someone else’s encouragement. Your testimony strengthens brethren.
For God uses people to confirm what He’s doing in you. Let your life be the kind of testimony that makes spiritual fathers rejoice.
My concern today is not ‘Are you rich?’ The question is ‘Is your soul prospering?’”

God’s desire for you is total prosperity. But it starts inside. Heal your soul, walk in truth, and the rest will follow.

Father God I pray that you let my soul prosper. Make me a person of truth. Heal me in spirit, soul, and body. Let my life bring joy to those who pray for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Heavenly Shift

“God’s favor doesn’t wait for you to be perfect. It locates you while you’re still sweeping the temple.”
When God’s Timing Meets Your Faithfulness, a shift happens.
Luke 1:6-13, Zechariah 4:10

Heaven shifted for a 70-year-old priest in the middle of his routine duty. It can shift for you too. So don’t quit serving because you haven’t seen results.

This tells us that, God’s call is never about you — it’s about His kingdom. But the journey to that kingdom assignment maybe tested by delay, discouragement, and cyberbullies with intent of silencing you. Yet heaven can shift in a moment. Zechariah’s story proves it.
If you want to experience a heavenly shift, there are 3 truths you must lock down.

1. Guard your motive & Identity - Colossians 3:23
The call of God is not for personal gain, but for advancing His kingdom. Build with vision and integrity.
2. Don't let Men’s platforms define you.
Those Followers, titles, trends will shift but God’s glory doesn’t.
3. Grow to be used by Him, not to be known by men. Your worth is not in applause, it’s in assignment.
When your motive is right, expect resistance. Because purpose always provokes opposition.

4. Endure opposition while waiting- 1 Peter 5:10
In this age of cyberbullies and trends, people will try to silence, discourage, and dissuade you. Purpose is always attacked because it challenges darkness.
5. Don’t quit. Keep working on your dream, perfecting your gift, and waiting for the atmosphere to shift. I promise you in due season it will shift.

Zechariah & Elizabeth were righteous but barren for decades. They served faithfully even when prayer felt denied. Your delay is not denial.
6.Opposition tests you. But waiting positions you. And while you wait, heaven is scheduling your shift

7. Recognize your season of favor- Luke 1:13
God’s favor is marvelous. It located Zechariah while he was still serving in the temple. It didn’t wait for him to be perfect.
Why? John’s assignment was time-bound — it couldn’t come before Jesus or after Him. You too are within a time-bound window of favor.
8. In conclusion know your anointing will break barriers. Pray, fast, endure, get godly confidants. Step forward — your destiny is unfolding now.
The shift doesn’t start when everything is ready. It starts when you’re still serving.

Let us pray
“Lord, align my motive with Your kingdom. Strengthen me to endure opposition. Locate me with Your favor while I’m still serving. My season is now. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

Occupy Until I Return

Text: Luke 19:13–14
Speaker: Pastor Robert Burare

Jesus’ instruction, “Occupy till I come,” is a call to active stewardship, service, and kingdom advancement until His return. To occupy means to be capable, equipped, skilled, and actively engaged in fulfilling God’s purpose.

Four Principles of Occupying

1. We Are Called and Chosen by God

God knows each one of us by name. He has called us according to His purpose and has sent us into the world with unique gifts and abilities. Every believer has been endowed with God-given talents that are meant to be used for His glory.

2. God Has Provided Influence and Resources

God has not only called us but has also empowered us with resources and influence to serve Him effectively.

2 Peter 1:3 reminds us that His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness. Since God has entrusted us with gifts and resources, He expects us to use them productively and faithfully until Christ returns.

3. Know Your Authority and Occupy

From the beginning, God gave humanity dominion and responsibility.

Genesis 1:28 teaches us to be fruitful, multiply, replenish the earth, and exercise dominion. As believers, we must understand our rights and responsibilities in God’s Kingdom and occupy every area He has assigned to us.

We should not be afraid of prosperity. Wealth and success, when used rightly, can glorify God and advance His Kingdom.

4. Influence Society Through Kingdom Values

Believers are called to occupy places of influence and decision-making to establish righteousness. Kingdom ethics should guide leadership and governance so that people benefit and God receives the glory.

We must walk in unity of purpose, supporting, encouraging, and strengthening one another as we serve God together.

Shake Off Limiting Conditions

2 Samuel 23:8 reminds us of mighty men who distinguished themselves through courage and determination. We must shake off limiting conditions, rise above obstacles, and make a lasting impact.

People should speak of the great things God has done through our lives.

Discover and Use Your God-Given Potential

Every person carries gifts, abilities, and potential placed within them by God. Success comes when we identify these gifts and faithfully develop and use them.

There must be no retreat and no surrender in fulfilling God’s assignment.

As Scripture says:

“The kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force.”

This speaks of spiritual determination, persistence, and unwavering commitment to God’s purpose.

Conclusion

God calls us to occupy until Christ returns—to work, serve, influence, lead, and advance His Kingdom. We are chosen, empowered, and equipped for this mission.

Let us rise in faith, walk in unity, use our gifts diligently, and occupy every sphere God has entrusted to us.

For it is not by might, nor by power, but by the Spirit of God.
