These aren’t just numbers; they’re your colleague who shows up with a smile while their chest feels heavy. Your neighbour who hasn’t left the house in weeks. Your friend who always says “I’m fine.”
The gap between struggle and support is enormous. This is not because help doesn’t exist. It is because silence, stigma, and lack of awareness keep too many of us from reaching out.
This May, let’s do something different. Not just post facts, but send a message. Check on someone. Say “I see you. You’re not alone.”

It’s May. And this month, we are changing the language. Not “I should” or “I need to” – but “May I…”
May I release the pressure. May I trust my own rhythm. May I give myself the same kindness I offer everyone else.
This tiny shift turns a demand into a permission slip. A “should” into a gentle invitation. And in the messy middle of the year, that’s exactly what we need.
