A shilling spent on a cup of tea in the morning is a shilling no longer available for meat later that night.This is the strategy of “deciding what not to do.”Entrepreneurs who aren’t able to make tough choices doom their organizations to mediocrity when they do too many things in an adequate way and nothing with excellence as the desirable standard. The hardest thing for a new company to do is say “No” to a customer.If you chase every penny you see on the sidewalk, you should not be surprised if you end up somewhere you didn’t want to be. Businesses evolve, but they can’t be everything to everybody.Choose what suits you best.
