🐾 Dog Serj was in pain – but thankfully, he was not alone ❤️🐕​

When Serj was brought to our partner clinic in Moldova, Doctor Vet Moldova, he was suffering from a torn wound under his eye and an infected injury on his neck that had already gone untreated for days 💔. Thankfully, volunteers from the Aviagorodok area noticed him and acted quickly. Catching him was not easy - he was frightened and in pain - but the team managed to bring him to safety 🩺✨​

At the clinic, Serj needed urgent care. The wound under his eye was carefully cleaned and stitched, while the infected wound on his neck was treated to stop the infection without causing further damage 🩹. While under sedation, the team also neutered him and marked him with an ear tag, helping to support his long-term care and protection 💉🐾​

Day by day, Serj is getting stronger. With antibiotics, pain relief, and daily treatment, his wounds are healing and his energy is slowly returning 🌿. Despite everything he has been through, he has allowed the team to care for him, showing quiet resilience even in the hardest moments 🤍​

Once his treatment is complete, Serj will return to his territory, where dedicated members of the local community will continue to look out for him and monitor his progress 🏡🐶 We are deeply grateful for the people who do not look away and whose compassion makes life-saving interventions like this possible 🤝💛​

🛑 Mother Dog Stolen, 5 Newborn Puppies Left Behind 😓🐾​

This report from Go Vap, Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam (VN-2024-09-29-974) describes a heartbreaking case: a mother dog was stolen shortly after giving birth, leaving behind five puppies that were only a few days old 💔🐶.​

Dog theft is not just a crime - it causes deep suffering for animals and heartbreak for the families and communities who care for them. No mother should be taken from her babies. No puppies should be left alone like this. ⛔️❌

🇰🇭 To our Cambodian community: this case happened in Vietnam, but it is also a reminder that dogs and cats need stronger protection everywhere. We are preparing to launch a similar reporting tool in Cambodia soon to help collect important information, better understand the situation, and guide effective solutions to help end the dog and cat meat trade. ​
