Blue Conscience
Marine Conservation, Science and Education in Saint Kitts and Nevis
To celebrate , this year we took 14 snorkelers with us to discover the beautiful surrounding waters of SK!
'We care what we know' is the drive behind our community outreach initiatives,ย once we are more aware of what is hidden below the surface and why healthy marine habitats are so important, we can take action and feel more connected!
Dive with us for more ocean awareness and marine education this summer ๐โฑ๏ธ

Sustainable fishing protects our oceans, supports fishing communities, and ensures future generations can enjoy healthy seafood๐๐
Easter 2026 was a splash! ๐๐ฃ
Our latest Ocean Science Camp was filled with wonder, discovery, and a whole lot of salt water. From exciting science experiments and ocean-inspired arts & crafts to meeting real-world turtle and shark experts, these young conservationists dived deep into the magic of our marine world. ๐งช๐ฆ๐ข
We didnโt just learn about the oceanโwe took action to protect it with a team beach clean-up and removed 31 lbs of waste... you are never too young to make an impact! ๐งค๐๏ธ
Watching these kids connect with the ocean reminds us exactly why we do what we do. The future of our โBlueโ is in great hands! ๐๐ฐ๐ณ
A special thank you to our guest speakers Dr. Kimberly Stuart from St. Kitts Sea Turtle Monitoring Network and Isabella McNamee, a shark researcher at Ross University.

Partnership is the tide that lifts all boats ๐๐ฐ๐ณ
Itโs been two years since their first visit, and we were thrilled to welcome our collaborators back to St. Kitts!
As a local NGO, Blue Conscience is dedicated to the health of our home waters. During the visit we met with to bring Action: supporting the governmentโs implementation of marine space management plans (SKNMMA) and securing offshore protection through the "30x30 Actioning Blue" initiative.
This milestone was cemented by the formal signing of the 30x30 MoUโa unified pledge between the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Marine Resources, the Ministry of Environment, and our two organizations to protect our blue future. โ๏ธ
A standout moment for us was being invited by Hon. Samal Duggins to share our vision and present our progress on working with coastal communities ๐คโ
Weโre not just planning for 2030, weโre protecting the St. Kitts and Nevis we love today ๐โจ

PROMAR is a project led by Clarence Fitzroy Bryant College that aims to collect data on marine pollution, inform local authorities on main sources of pollution and propose circular economy solutions. โป๏ธ
We'd love to see you at our next cleanup, bring a friend or two and become a citizen scientist for a day! Make sure to check for our calendar which will be posted soon ๐ข
