Вчера проведена инфо сессия Google for Startups для стартапов интересующихся попаданием в SilkWay accelerator. Приняли участие более 77 проектов. Мероприятие организовано Magzhan Madiyev, Aigerim Zharkyn и другими руководителями Astana hub, при участии Googler-ов: Helena Garcia, Go To Market and Partnerships Manager, EMEA - Google For Startups, Baris Yesugey, Global Dev Programs Region Lead, Beyza Sunay Güler, Dev Programs manager.

One of the selection criteria, can we as GfS actually help you. Looking at startups in the PMF stage. С первыми пользователями. Без пользователей не подойдет. Can startups benefit from Google’s product? Are you a B2C company? Are you a B2B which can grow in all of our products?
Also, Google mentors will interview a founder. Are you willing to give back to the community?
We can help to navigate in Google. Tell me what you need help with because these are huge areas. It’s helpful to know how GfS can help you.

Вопрос от участника: Hello everyone! You mentioned that Google advisors will help us during the program. What will be the format of mentoring by google representatives? Is that personal trainer that will consult our company on regular basis or ad hoc problem solving? Thanks in advance!
Answer: Once you go into the programs. Google will look at the OKRs and see if they can match with an advisor. The advisor will see if he will be able to help and will be able to be more involved. Versus maybe startup needs just a Q&A session to solve particular problems. Also there are advisors from external network. If advisor can help, they will match. We understand that startups are very busy.
One of the goals is to expose you to as many mentors as possible. This will help you to expand your network. By the end of the program startups will have a huge network. Introductions can make a big shift in a startup journey.

Baris said, we used to go to Google Play team and asking to promote apps coming out from the accelerator. It was when the program was called Google Launchpad. Unfortunately they don’t do this anymore. But we could try.
For example, we can connect AI startups to Tensorflow folks, for roadmap matching, mentorship sessions and other.
