The Samsung Galaxy S series refers to the Android smartphones of the Samsung GALAXY series and includes the "Super Smart" GALAXY series devices manufactured by Samsung Electronics.

Since 2010, Galaxy S series phones have been positioned as Samsung's flagships and are considered the main competitors of Apple's iPhone line of smartphones. Initially, the first smartphone of the Galaxy S series was launched in Singapore, Malaysia and South Korea in June 2010, then in the United States [6]. In the first 45 days of sales, more than a million units were sold in the United States, which also helped push the Android operating system into the new and rapidly growing smartphone market, where phones with Symbian, Windows Phone, Linux-based LiMo operating systems and others were also released. The Galaxy S line of phones has made Samsung the largest phone manufacturer in the world. The Galaxy S line is distinguished by the fact that its new models usually have the most modern technologies and innovative features in the smartphone market.
