Our Story

EDF has been providing entrepreneurs, in less privileged areas, with financing and mentor-ship, to support their small businesses. Ever since the year 2000, EDF has assisted more than 3,250 beneficiaries from all over the country (approx. 2,050 men and 1,200 women) with a total financing of US$11 million. The attached success stories demonstrate the impact EDF has had on the beneficiaries and their respective communities.

EDF will revert to its initial mission of providing Entrepreneurial Training followed by financial support and mentor-ship for graduates with promising business plans and those with tied and tested small businesses, who are looking to expand them either locally or regionally within the country. Whereby, the financial support will be either direct from EDF’s financial resources or indirectly through banks or other donor agencies.

The new Executive Director – Mrs. Afaf Nehmeh whose mission is to reinvigorate EDF, will emphasize in 2019 home-based crafts by women entrepreneurs and young vocational business owners.
