UNESCO’s new report AI and the Future of Education is definitely worth checking out!

The report opens conversations about what’s really happening as AI moves deeper into education.

It begins with a clear picture of today’s classrooms, a student in Ghana learning algebra with an AI tutor on WhatsApp, a teenager in the UK talking to an AI companion, a professor in Korea teaching through an AI avatar.

These examples raise simple but important questions: what happens to learning when machines begin to teach, listen, and respond?

Each section brings together different voices (e.g., educators, researchers, and thinkers) from around the world.

Some describe the opportunities AI brings, like new ways to personalize learning or reach more students. Others point to growing inequalities in access and the need to protect the human connection at the heart of education.

One section looks at assessment. When an AI can produce an essay in seconds, traditional tests start to lose meaning.

Some authors suggest using AI to support ongoing, formative assessment where feedback matters more than grades. Others warn against letting algorithms take over and stress the fact that education still depends on relationships, empathy, and context.

Out of over 132,000 schools across the Arab world, this Lebanese school claimed first place. It wasn’t luck—it was years of dedication, teamwork, and unwavering belief since 2019.
