I remember growing up in Marchand, where it was all love among the community; when you fought one, you fought all… it was rough, but the older generation put you on the right path, even if they were part of a gang, the motto was to make sure you stayed in school. Even if I had my fair share of gang activity, just being from Marchand, I managed to pull through by playing steel pan and then gravitating to DJ-ing.
