Building Economics Student Society (BESS) of University of Moratuwa organized a blood donation camp on 27th September 2017 in the Moratuwa Vijaya Sundararama Temple. The camp was held from 9 am after a dharma deshana. There were a large number of donors and helpers for the success of the event.

Institute of Quantity Surveyors, Sri Lanka with Department of Building Economics, University of Moratuwa organized their Annual Technical Session 2016 on 3rd of November, 2016 at BMICH, Colombo 07. The theme of this year’s session was " Responsibilities of young Quantity Surveyors”. Prof. Chithra Weddikkara appeared as the keynote speaker of the session & A panel discussion was conducted on the above theme with four distinguished personnel in where the participants including academicians, industrial experts, professionals as well as the youth of future professionals joined with this forum to discuss on the above subject matter.
