Undergraduates of the Biomedical Instrumentation Technology degree programme participated in an on-site training session at Narahenpita Army Hospital.
During the training, the students were briefed about how the Central AC System works, which is crucial in ensuring a conducive environment for patient care and equipment functionality.
Moreover, during the session, students were introduced to the Diathermy Machine, its application in medical procedures and its significance in modern healthcare practices.
These sessions are crucial for the undergraduates to bridge the gap between theoretical concepts and practical implementations within Biomedical Instrumentation Technology.

On the 17th of November 2023, undergraduates of the Biomedical Instrumentation Technology degree programme participated in an on-site training session at the Central Sterile Supply Department (CSSD) of University Hospital KDU. During the session, students were exposed to the meticulous processes of sterilizing and maintaining medical equipment. The CSSD unit, with its rigorous protocols and advanced machinery, plays a crucial role in infection control and patient safety. This practical exposure reinforced the students' understanding of technology's critical role in upholding healthcare standards, leaving them committed to mastering biomedical instrumentation for quality healthcare services.
