Teacher Crush Tuesday 💙

This week, we’re shining the spotlight on someone who makes learning feel simple, engaging, and meaningful

A trained biochemist, Mr. Howbott teaches Biology (Grades 10–12) and Mathematics (Grades 5–6) with a level of clarity and depth that truly stands out. Whether he’s breaking down complex biological processes or guiding younger students through math fundamentals, he does it with patience, precision, and purpose.

Known across campus as an everybody person, Mr. Howbott carries a calm, approachable energy that puts students at ease. His classroom is a space where questions are welcome, ideas are explored, and learning flows naturally.

In one of today’s highlights, he’s seen sharing a handshake with our VPI, Mr. Joseph Swen … a simple but powerful moment that reflects mutual respect, professionalism, and strong leadership within our school system.

What makes him exceptional:
• Clear, structured, and engaging teaching style
• Calm, approachable, and student-friendly presence
• Strong academic foundation in biochemistry
• Ability to connect across different age groups

Mr. Howbott, your consistency, dedication, and impact do not go unnoticed. You’re not just teaching lessons…you’re shaping minds and inspiring growth.

GFCA celebrates you. Keep leading. Keep teaching. Keep making a difference.

Every month, we look for a student who reflects what we stand for, in class, in character, and on the big stage. For March, one name stood clear, the kid everyone on campus is talking about.

Musa A. Kamara, Grade 5, is our Student of the Month.

At his age, he shows rare discipline. He respects his teachers, stays focused in class, and takes his education seriously. He listens, learns, and applies himself with purpose.

On the field, he gave a performance people will keep talking about. During the Gala games, he stood out with confidence and control beyond his level. In a tough final against the staff team, he stepped up and delivered the winning goal with an outstanding performance during that match with which he also emerged MVP. A moment that defined the match and showed his mindset under pressure.

Musa represents growth, effort, and courage. He leads by action and sets a pace others can follow.

Keep going, Musa. This is only the start.

Happy Easter Sunday.

A day rooted in sacrifice and victory. The resurrection of Christ reminds us that every setback has a comeback, and every effort has a reward.

To our parents and guardians, we appreciate your trust.
To our staff, we value your dedication.
To our students, this is your time to rise above distractions.

Reset your mind. Focus your energy.
4th period tests begin Tuesday 7th April 2026.

Walk in prepared.

Meet our Gala Day MVPs:

Musa A. Kamara, Grade 5, Football MVP.
One of the youngest, but played like he had done this for years. Every touch had purpose. His move drew attention. We kept watching, trying to process how a 5th grader held the game like that. 😱

Lioniel P. Diggs, Grade 8, Quizzing MVP.
He stayed calm, listened, processed, and delivered. His answers came with confidence, and each one pushed his team closer to the top.

Violet T. Gobah, Grade 10, Kickball MVP.
She took charge from the start. Strong kicks, smart plays, and full control in the final. When the pressure rose, she raised her level and made the difference.

Alvin T. Yancy ( AKA AI ), Grade 8, Basketball MVP.
The final against Red needed someone to take responsibility. He did. He controlled the pace, made key plays, and finished strong when it mattered most.

Congratulations to our Gala Day MVPs. You showed skill, focus, and leadership when it mattered most. Keep pushing and setting the standard.
