PROMISSORY NOTE

I, Jonathan Sahr Cooper, hereby acknowledge that I am indebted to Mr. Richard D. Nowtuwa in the amount of Five Thousand Twenty United States Dollars (US$5,020.00).
I agree that the said amount shall be paid in cash or in goods (black exhaust TVS motorbikes) on or before January 30, 2026.
As security for this obligation, I am placing my Armada Jeep as collateral. In the event that I fail to fully settle this obligation on or before the stated deadline, I authorize that the said vehicle be sold and the proceeds used to satisfy the debt owed to Mr. Richard D. Nowtuwa.
This promissory note is made in good faith and shall be binding.

Margibi District #5 Political Reflection.

The other day, we discussed District #3 now let’s turn our attention to Margibi District #5.

Defeated Representative Candidate Madam Alice Tonieh Endee Kruah Baysah lost the 2023 election largely due to her anger, emotions, and perceived arrogance, according to our survey. We were informed that her father is from Nimba County (a Gio man) and her mother from Margibi County (a Kpelleh woman).

Those who truly know Alice personally are mostly people from the 1970s, 1980s, and early 1990s. However, individuals from the late 1990s and 2000s generations know very little about her association with Margibi because she has no easily traceable work or schooling history in the county.

Nevertheless, one positive side of Alice is that whether she knows you or not, she helps people she meets. She is better known in Nimba than in Margibi, as she lived in Nimba for many years. The 2023 election, however, helped to reintroduce her to the people of Margibi, gaining her some attention she hadn’t enjoyed before.

Defeated Representative Candidate #1, Mr. Johnathan Sahr Cooper, on the other hand, is well known by this generation. He grew up in Barclay Farm and spent most of his youthful days there. Mr. Cooper is known to help people whether he knows them or not but many say he pretends to be more established than he really is. Those who have interacted closely with him claim that he often exaggerates or fabricates stories, earning him the nickname “CMB.” Because of this, many voters rejected his 2023 bid to become Representative.

Now, turning to the current Representative, Hon. Clarence G. Gahr, of Margibi District #5 Hon. Gahr grew up in Weala Town, where he attended elementary and junior high school, worked, fished, farmed, and lived for years before later moving to Kakata, where he graduated from BWI.

This generation knows Hon. Gahr and his entire family very well from his beginnings to his current leadership role. He won both the 2017 and 2023 elections because of his strong human relationships, development-oriented mindset, and genuine love for people.

Though Hon. Gahr isn’t always phone or communication-friendly and tends to set boundaries quickly when offended, he is, overall, down-to-earth, hardworking, and deeply committed to his generation and beyond.
