Where do I even begin…
The Humanities get looked down on a lot, mostly because people don’t fully understand what they offer. But there’s a reason it’s called Humanities... it’s about us. About understanding the human experience, questioning it, breaking it down, and rebuilding it with deeper meaning. And for me, it reflects in my ART as well.

And I’ll say it with my chest: this faculty is one of the best things to happen to this university. And yes — there is real mosebetsi here. Real application. Real impact.
Our trips to Thaba Bosiu and Sehlaba-Thebe were more than just excursions. They were experiences. Through our Expressive Therapies course, we got to see therapy in practice… and honestly, we came back with more than we expected.

Meeting Damo De Meria, a sound therapist working at Thaba Bosiu cultural village, was a highlight. The way he blends sound, environment, and traditional Basotho elements into therapy? Powerful. It really showed how deeply psychology and art intersect and how much potential there is in spaces we often overlook.
There’s so much I could say about that day… but I’ll leave it here.

One thing I know for sure: what I’m learning in this space is going to stay with me for life.
Maybe what we need right now isn’t less Humanities…. Maybe we need more humanity.
