Road Fund Board, Executive Management Review Policies to Strengthen Governance

The Board of Directors and Executive Management of the Road Fund recently convened for a one-day policy review session aimed at strengthening institutional governance, improving operational efficiency and ensuring that the Secretariat remains responsive to the evolving needs of the road sector.

During the session, members of the Executive Management presented existing policies requiring updates for discussion and approval by the Board of Directors. The review sought to ensure that all policies remain aligned with the organisation's strategy, legislative requirements and overall mandate of the Road Fund.

Speaking during the session, the Board Chairperson Mr. Makotoko Makotoko emphasised the importance of regular policy reviews, noting that policies serve as the foundation for sound governance, accountability and effective decision-making.

Led by Chief Executive Officer Mrs. Matšepang Sekhokoane, the Executive Management team presented and discussed proposed policy amendments in key operational areas, including human resources and administration, financial management, information and communication technology as well as workplace health and safety.

The policy review reflects the Road Fund's commitment to ensuring that resources collected and disbursed are managed responsibly and continue to contribute meaningfully to the development and maintenance of the country's road infrastructure.

The Secretariat conducts annual policy reviews as part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen governance, enhance institutional performance and deliver value to the public.
