Happy 21st Birthday Cole!!!!
21 years ago, at the age of 21, I gave birth to this sweet child of mine. I wasn't ready, I didn't know what to expect, I was scared, and excited all the same. I remember the mumbled words the doctors threw at me regarding all your medical issues while you were forming in my tummy. I knew they offered me the choice to keep you or "discard" you so " I wouldn't have to endure a sick baby". I remember it all being muffled and not even sinking in, because from the moment I knew you were forming, from the sound of that little heart beat on the ultrasound, you were mine and a gift from God to care for♡
You were exactly what your Momma needed. You, sweet boy, pushed me to be the advocate I am today for my patients and our family. Your personality is contagious and your funny, whimsical ways, have us laughing through anything. The God within you shows me that miracles are real and that God is the waymaker. Your strength and tenacity are an encouragement to those you meet and I'm so thankful for those hugs you give me that practically strangle me to death but..........I wouldn't change it for anything! You, little man of mine contine to keep God first in everything and hold true to the love in your heart for Jesus! We are so proud of you and what you bring to our family. I'm the luckiest Momma in the world to have a son like you, and I hope you have a wonderful 21st 🎂 birthday.. you are destined for great things and we love you♡♡♡

Asking for you to remember and say a little prayer for Coles 40th surgery tomorrow. He'll be having some reconstruction on his ear ( ear drum) that's needed to be done for years, but it wasn't a priority ♡ he is a week shy of turning 21, and we've been through some serious procedures before.. thankful this isn't serious, but it's not minor and it marks a milestone no one should ever have to reach!! 40 surgeries 😟! I know he's got this and I know God is good all the time. We love you kiddo!

For years we celebrated the 23rd of October as Coles Kidney Transplant Anniversary. When that Kidney failed in 2018 we began dialysis and used this day to reflect on and pray for a new kidney in the future! Cole is now blessed to have a new Transplant Anniversary of July 7th, when he recieved his second Transplant ( 7/7/2020). However, this day, October 23rd
Will forever be an important milestone in his life and we will honor it!
