Merciful and Loving God,
We come before you with heavy hearts, stunned by the passing of your servant, Charlie. We entrust his soul into your eternal, compassionate arms. Grant him peace, rest, and the fullness of your mercy and forgiveness. Welcome him into the light of your presence, where there is no more pain or strife.
We also pray urgently for his family, his loved ones, his colleagues, and all who are grieving this immense loss. Surround them with your comfort that surpasses all understanding. Hold them close in their shock and sorrow. Provide them with strength for this moment and the difficult days ahead, and surround them with a community of support.
Lord, in our confusion and sadness, be our refuge and our strength.
