We recently hosted another successful site visit at the Mellieħa Bay Hotel project! In collaboration with SACES, iAS welcomed University students to explore the complexities of delivering a 360-room, five-star luxury resort.

The session offered a deep dive into the realities of large-scale project management, featuring insights from:

Project Overview: A look at the aerial scope and the intricacies of administering a FIDIC Yellow Book framework.

Geological Mastery: Dr. Adrian Mifsud explained the structural challenges of building across four distinct rock layers, including the infamous Blue Clay.

The Contractor’s Perspective: Perit Adrian Falzon shared the unique experience of working directly for a contractor.

Project Controls: The team at ESC broke down design coordination, cost control, and progress reporting.

The day concluded with a site walk-through, where students engaged in high-level discussions on workmanship standards and real-time coordination.
