PLEASE LEAVE ME ALONE; STOP THE CHEAP PROPAGANDA!!!

I have noted with great concern several messages and stories circulating online linking me to the ongoing alleged planned protests in the country. I would like to clarify that these claims are completely false.

I have no plans to organize or join any demonstrations. Please, always remember that I serve as Vice President of the Alliance for Democracy (AFORD), which is part of the current Mutharika administration.

At this point, my duty and commitment is to support our party President who is also the State Second-Vice President, Right Honorable Enock Kamzingeni Chihana as he helps the State President, His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika in fixing the economic hardships that Malawians are going through.

If the Mutharika administration fails, then AFORD fails too, and my party President fails as well. I have no intention to see them fail because Malawians have suffered enough and when DPP and AFORD succeed, Malawi will succeed.

Let me remind Malawians that DPP and AFORD have just taken over the administration of the country. They deserve space and our collective support to set up and start implementing their promises.

Campaign and elections are over. This is a time for development. It is time to build Malawi into a prosperous nation that we desire. Let us stop politicization and propaganda against innocent individuals. We must unite for the development and progress of our nation.

It is unfortunate that some people continue to use my name and image for propaganda or personal agendas. I urge everyone involved to stop this. If you have ambitions or want to grow your social media following, please do so without abusing my identity.

Let me also take this opportunity to remind Malawians that I left the Human Rights Defenders Coalition (HRDC) over five years ago. I have no intention of going back to HRDC. The organization now has its own leadership and structures. Therefore, please direct any HRDC matters to them, not to me.

Finally, "disregard any statement not issued directly by me. I have not appointed anyone to speak or post on my behalf.”

To those creating falsehood, stop it! Leave me out of your propaganda.

And to those who think they can intimidate me or create unnecessary controversy to make me hated — know that I passed that level long ago.
