A friend in need is a friend indeed so they say. On Friday, women with special needs children under Way Ministries Organisation received a food donation from Serve Now Organisation from United States of America.

Giving the donation to the women on behalf of Serve Now, was WAY Ministries Board Chairperson, Pastor Francis Kalembela of City Pentecostal Church and Way Ministries Executive Director, Caesor Kondowe.

Speaking on behalf of fellow beneficiaries, Chikumbutso Thondoya, 31, a mother to Shairin Gama from Makata township in Ndirande expressed her gratitude for the timely food donation.

"The donation has come timely as most of us here are struggling to feed our families, sometimes we go to bed with an empty stomach, life has become so unbearable and receiving this food today is a great relief to us all", said Thondoya.

The donation was in form of Maize flour and Soya pieces, each family received two bags of 10 kgs Maize Flour and 5 packets of Soya Pieces.

After a busy week of writing end of term 2 examinations, our children and teachers at Montessori Private Christian School (NGO), and their counterparts at Montessori Private Christian School had a refreshing day out. They went for a tree planting session at our NGO school project campus in Nyambadwe.

Yes, the tree planting season is not over yet, so long the rains are still falling we can plant as many trees as we can.

The children had alot of fun and it was quite a beautiful lifetime experience for them all. Great memories were created and of course lessons on conserving the environment went quite practical this time around.
