This community of ours has grown so much in the last few years, and as the world and these platforms change, I'm seeking more ways to connect with y'all directly, so we don't have to be dependent on these intermediaries to share our art with the people who love it and really want to support it. We're relaunching our Xiuhsletter, to share more of my writing, reflections & a direct line to the work unfolding 🤲🏽 first newsletter in a long time coming this month. Can't tell you how many times folks have come to me saying "I didn't know you were in my city!" right after I play a show there, because the algorithm didn't let them know. As we continue to grow and reach more people, I'm excited for the xiuhsletter, and the whatsapp channel to be places we can dive deeper into the art, the community work its tied to, and the stories of where it all comes from.
