☀️I am not a government officer.

❎I am not a doctor.
❎Not an engineer.
❎Not a lawyer.
❎Not a teacher.

😎I am just a salesman.

And for many years… people made me feel like that word meant I was “less”.

When I first entered sales and marketing in the year 2000, people around me looked down on me.
😢Friends.
😢Relatives.
😢Even people close to my heart.

They told me:
“You have no future.”
“You are a degree holder… go find a better job.”
“Commission job is not stable.”
“Salesman only suffer.”

👉🏼Every word hurt.

Especially when it comes from people you love.

At that time, most of my friends were already working in offices with titles everyone respected.
👌Teachers.
👌Bankers.
👌Government officers.
👌Lawyers.

👉🏼They wore ties.
👉🏼Worked 8 to 5.
👉🏼Drove nice cars.
👉🏼Had weekends and holidays.

And me?

☔️I walked under the hot sun and heavy rain.
🚧The streets became my office.
⛔️Rejections became my daily meal.
😱Some people ignored me.
🙈Some insulted me.
😢Some treated me like I was nobody.

But what many people never saw…
was the tears behind the smile.

I entered sales not because it was glamorous.
I entered because I had no choice.

After graduating, I was unemployed for more than 6 months.
👉🏼I felt lost.
👉🏼Useless.
👉🏼Pressured.

So I told myself:
“Just do something. Don’t give up.”

❇️That “something” became sales.
❇️And sales changed my entire life.

Yes, commission sounded scary to people.
But I discovered something powerful:

👍Commission means your effort decides your future.

🫵The harder you grow,
the more you earn.
🫵The more people you help,
the more your life changes.

There is no limit.

While others laughed at my long working hours…
I kept going.

While others rested…
I learned.

While others looked down on me…
I believed in myself quietly.

And after just 1 year and 3 months in sales…

I became a Business Owner.
I opened my own Sdn Bhd.

The same people who once pitied me…
started asking me how I did it.

🎁At the age of 27,
👉🏼I achieved my first million.

Not from fixed salary.
Not from bonuses.
Not from government benefits.

✅From SALES.

From courage.
From rejection.
From consistency.
From believing in a profession that many people disrespect.

Sales allowed me to travel the world.
Sales allowed me to send my parents to countries they only dreamed of visiting.
Sales gave me freedom.
Sales gave me purpose.
Sales gave me a chance to build other people’s futures too.

Today, my business is expanding.
Sunway KL.
SP.
Butterworth.
And more to come.

And the proudest part is not the money.

It is seeing young Malaysians who once had no direction…
now believing in themselves again.

So honestly…

What is so wrong about being a salesman?

Why do people respect someone only because of their title,
but not because of their struggle?

A salesman is someone who wakes up every day carrying pressure nobody sees.
No guaranteed income.
No comfort zone.
No certainty.

Yet they still go out and fight for their dreams.

Salespeople are not weak.

They are some of the bravest people in the world.

Because every single day,
they face rejection,
judgment,
fear,
failure,
and still continue smiling.

If you cannot encourage a salesperson,
at least do not break their spirit.

Because behind many successful companies,
many successful families,
many successful dreams…

there was once a salesman nobody believed in.

And today,
after 25 years…

I can finally say this proudly with tears in my eyes:

Yes…
😎I am a salesman.

And sales was one of the greatest blessings of my life.

❎Freedom and ease are never built through comfort, shortcuts, or excuses.
✅They are earned through discipline, consistency, and the willingness to do what others avoid.

Following the structure, hitting the numbers, maintaining the right attitude, and staying consistent every single day is not easy. There will be pressure, challenges, rejection, tiredness, and moments where giving up feels easier. But those difficult moments are exactly what build stronger individuals and stronger teams.

A big and powerful team is never built by emotions alone. It is built by people who choose responsibility over excuses, growth over comfort, and consistency over temporary motivation.

The right things will always challenge you because growth itself is uncomfortable. But every challenge faced with the right mindset creates stronger leadership, better culture, and a team that can sustain success for the long term.
