Special shoutout to those who traveled to Kuching to join us at the opening, to everyone who came back with more friends in tow, and to all the new connections we made along the way. A huge thank you as well to our incredible collaborators for curating such unique programs, and of course, to our amazing core team, whose hard work and passion made everything come together perfectly.

We hope Earthen Infusion was a meaningful experience for everyone, and we can’t wait to see you all again, perhaps.. at our next event 🌿 Here's to many more!

With this post we officially close our Earthen Infusion event. Brought to you by 4 individuals; Tuson, Donna, Ceres and Khadijah, each with very different background but with one goal in mind: to promote and create opportunities for the arts and culture sectors in Sarawak. This is made possible with the support of Ministry of Tourism, Creative Industry, and Performing Arts Sarawak.

Please be advised, for our visitors and participants heading to Earthen Infusion on 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆, 𝟯𝗿𝗱 𝗡𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿, the roads towards our location will be closed from 𝟭𝟮𝗽𝗺 𝘁𝗼 𝟲𝗽𝗺 for the closing ceremony of Sarawak Regatta 2024.

The affected roads include Lebuh Wayang to Main Bazaar, Main Bazaar and Jalan Wawasan to Jalan Wayang.

We advise our friends and collaborators to plan the journey ahead, carpool, use grab, or park at nearby carpark such as 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗮𝗻 𝗣𝗲𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮 (Previously known as Star Cineplex, a multi-storey carpark just 1-2 minutes walk away) or 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝘇𝗮 𝗠𝗲𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗸𝗮.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused. Our team is always available and on the look out if any of you need help. Looking forward to seeing everyone on the very last day of our exhibition event!

As we enter the final stretch of our journey, here’s a quick look at the team behind Earthen Infusion.

Our team of four—Tuson Chong, Donna Yong, Siti Khadijah and Ceres Lau, has all been working behind the scenes tirelessly to bring this experience to life. From curating to planning, every detail is a labor of love for culture, art, and heritage.

We’re incredibly grateful for the overwhelming support and enthusiasm we've received throughout the exhibition. Thank you for being a part of this experience with us!

This art and culture exhibition explores the rich heritage of Sarawak through the art of ceramics and the healing power of nature. It brings you through how handcrafted vessels — ranging from traditional Dayak pottery to modern works by ceramicist Tuson Chong — tell stories and embody the remedies, spirituality, and wisdom passed down through generations.

Meet Evelyn Teo, the creative force behind Tuak Atelier—a brand transforming the local Tuak scene while uplifting marginalized youth through her social enterprise, Work and Training (WAT) Sarawak. Founded in 2016, WAT Sarawak is more than a training ground; it’s a social enterprise academy empowering young talents with hospitality skills. From this inspiring journey, Tuak Atelier was born.

Evelyn aspires to elevate Tuak as a premium experience—a fusion of heritage and modern indulgence, best enjoyed with good company and culinary flair. It is more than just a drink; it is a celebration of culture, taste, and community.

Diviana Tan is an experienced Research Officer with a solid background in the biotechnology industry. She holds a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS) and currently works with the Sarawak Biodiversity Centre, focusing on the documentation of Traditional Knowledge from indigenous communities in Sarawak. Diviana is also actively involved in community empowerment through various capacity-building initiatives.
